Cooldown Speed

Pups need to rest after breeding - their generation affects their cooldown time

Cooldown Speed - All dogs need a break! The cooldown period is a fixed value per generation of SolarPup, and determines how often they can breed. The more a doggo breeds, the longer its cooldown.

What is a cooldown period?

Once your doggo breeds, it will need time to rest. This time will vary based on two factors:

Case Study: Gen 0 SolarPup

Let's imagine you purchased an original SolarPup from the first mint. At the start, this gen 0 doggo would have the fastest cooldown speed possible (1 minute).

After each subsequent breeding cycle, the cooldown period for this pup would get slower. If you bred this pup 3 times, its cooldown speed would become 10 minutes. If you bred this pup 5 times, the cooldown speed would become 1 hour.

Table of Cooldown Speeds

Cooldown Speeds Example: Generation 0 Dog

Let's say we have a Gen 0 dog and want to breed it. The chart below can help us determine how the cooldown speeds of this SolarPup will change. Using the chart above, we know that a Gen 0 dog starts with a 1 minute cooldown speed. If we breed this dog 1 time, it's cooldown speed will become 2 minutes.
