SolarPups have three tiers based on rarity: common, rare, and legendary

Tiers
SolarPups can be broadly sorted into three tiers. Dogs are sorted into tiers based on their trait combinations. Every trait has a rarity score based on its supply - some traits are more rare than others. When aggregated to build a SolarPup, an overall rarity score for each pup can be calculated. This score determines what category a pup will be sorted into.
Case Study Example: A Legendary Trait
Let's say we have a legendary trait of a pencil behind the ear that has a supply cap of 100. This would mean that only 100 pups total - in the initial mint and later breeding cycles - can yield this trait. Any SolarPup with a pencil behind its ear would end up with a high rarity score, landing them in the "Legendary" category. Note: this is not a real trait in the population, and is only being used for example purposes.
Resale Pricing
When finding your pup a home, you get to choose the price before listing it on our market! This gives our community control over how they see the value of their pup.
